Improving Communication…

Many communication improvement ideas were brought up at the 2025 annual meeting. Here are some changes that are underway:

  • Our Events committee has listed all the summer’s events here.
  • Some website cleanup and menu reorganizing makes navigation easier / more intuitively obvious. The ongoing to do list is here.
  • Phase 1 of a process to bring maintenance request tickets into the 21st century is actually happening!!
  • All 2025 maintenance request tickets and their progress are being added here. Search for your specific ticket or see all tickets for all common areas.

Forest Lake County Club Improvements Summer 2023

You may notice as you walk to Lakefront this year that we have done a bit of sprucing up! The crumbling border around the triangle space has been removed and replaced with brand-new lumber. The next step will be to upgrade the planting to hopefully be a beautiful butterfly garden.

In addition, we  have had our landscapers give our entrance some much needed love.

Also, some generous cooperators donated some beautiful flowers to fill the pots at the entrance to the lake. Feel free to give them a little water if they look dry!

For all our dog lovers, we have installed a new entrance gate to get to doggie beach. This should make it safer for both you and your pooch as the sight lines are much better and there is no incline to traverse.

The laundry room on Carnation has finally gotten some care.  The hot water heater has been replaced and the rotten boards on the the outside are being replaced and the building will been repainted.

FLCC Maintenance Updates

As we work our way through the dogs days of Summer, enjoying a swim at the lake, a kayak or boat ride, our maintenance crew is hard at work improving our grounds.

We have been enjoying our newly paved and striped pickle ball court with new regulation net.

The paddle ball court has also been paved and recently repainted.

Also, the playground area has gotten a much needed refresh.  The tire swing has been reinstalled.  The slides and all the wood was power washed a few weeks ago and just repainted.

Milling has started. They have been working on Azalea, Buttercup and Carnation.

Currently we are scheduled to be complete the project by May 3. The weather may have an impact in this date. No major issues thus far. Where the roads are being dug, we are taking the opportunity to make some pipe repairs. Bill and Rod are adding protective sleeves to the piping for added protection.
This week calls for damp and wet weather so we may lose a little time.

New Washers/Dryers are here!

On October 7th, 2019 all FLCC laundry rooms were updated with brand-new washers and dryers.  They make look the same, but they are brand-new.  The washers have three load levels: light ($1.50), medium ($1.75) and heavy($2.00). The dryers are $1.50 per cycle. Each Laundry room has a placard with instructions on how to use the machines as well as instructions on how to report an outage. If you have an Iphone you can download the app right in the laundry room to report an issue. It’s easy and no being put on hold. Of course, you can still call if you prefer.

So for all you cooperaters who left before the new machines arrived, we will have all new machines waiting for you in 2020!

Maintenance Update

For those of you who might have noticed, there is a trench behind the canteen building. The maintenance staff is currently replacing an older drainage system that is no longer doing it’s job. In addition the septic system in that area is being corrected as well.
